Tusker FC midfielder David Odoyo has urged the team to “simplify things” as they prepare for a tough FKF Premier League clash against defending champions Gor Mahia in Machakos on Sunday evening.
Odoyo acknowledges the challenge posed by K’Ogalo but believes the key to success lies in executing their game plan effectively. “It’s going to be a tough match, but we need to simplify our approach and focus on implementing our strategy. If we do that, the game will become much more manageable,” Odoyo said.
The midfielder is optimistic, drawing confidence from the team’s recent 1-0 victory over Bandari. “We had a setback with the loss to Shabana last weekend, but bouncing back with a win against Bandari in midweek is a huge boost for the team. Coming off a loss and then securing a win is always encouraging, and it motivates us to keep pushing forward,” he noted.
Odoyo added that staying at the top of the table is a strong motivator for the team. “Everyone wants to stay on top, and that’s driving us. If we keep this momentum, it will inspire us to keep fighting in every game.”
A victory against Gor Mahia would ensure Tusker FC remains at the summit of the FKF Premier League standings.
