Tusker FC is delighted to announce that midfielder Fabian Adikiny and forward Ian Simiyu have signed two-year contract extensions, keeping them at Ruaraka until at least 2028.
The duo played pivotal roles during the 2025/26 campaign, helping the Brewers lift the FKF MozzartBet Cup, the club’s first major trophy in a decade, and secure qualification for next season’s CAF Confederation Cup.
Adikiny was one of the team’s standout performers throughout the season, providing consistency and stability in midfield. The 24-year-old featured in every FKF MozzartBet Cup match, playing a crucial role in the club’s triumphant run to the title.
In all competitions, Adikiny made 37 appearances from a possible 40, accumulating 2,725 minutes in his second season with the Brewers. His relentless work rate was reflected in the numbers, averaging the second-highest distance covered in the squad at 292.9 kilometres over the course of the campaign, underlining his reputation as one of the team’s midfield engines.

“Last season was very difficult for us, but we managed to give a good account of ourselves in the Cup and eventually win it. It was a season full of lessons and I am delighted to have committed the next two years to the club. Of course there were many suitors who came knocking, but I know what this club means to me,” Adikiny said after signing his new deal.
He added:
“The opportunity to play in the CAF Confederation Cup for the first time is one I simply couldn’t turn down. I am excited and looking forward to the new season because I believe we can achieve great success.”
Simiyu, meanwhile, enjoyed a breakthrough campaign in his first full season with Tusker. Having joined midway through the 2024/25 season from Nzoia Sugar, where he was the National Super League’s top scorer, the forward needed time to adapt to his new surroundings before flourishing this past season.
The striker finished the campaign with eight goals and one assist in all competitions, making 32 appearances and playing 1,614 minutes.

While he found the net five times in the FKF Premier League, it was his performances in the FKF MozzartBet Cup that proved decisive.
Simiyu scored the winning goal in the Round of 16 victory over Kariobangi Sharks before coming off the bench to provide the assist for Ibrahim Joshua’s dramatic 92nd-minute winner in the quarter-final against Ulinzi Stars.
He saved his best for last, producing a match-winning display in the final by scoring both goals in Tusker’s 2-1 victory over Kenya Police FC to hand the Brewers the trophy and seal qualification for the CAF Confederation Cup.
“I am delighted to have extended my contract with the club. This past season has been great for me and I believe my performances showed what I can offer, which is why the club has rewarded me with this new contract. I am now fully settled, fully focused and ready to give my very best over the next two years.”
“Playing in the CAF Confederation Cup is something I have wished and prayed for throughout my career, so that was a huge motivation for me to stay. I can’t wait for what is in store,” Simiyu said.

Head coach Julien Mette welcomed the extensions, describing the duo as key pillars of the club’s long-term project.
“I am happy that we can continue with Fabian and Ian. They have demonstrated what they can offer to the team and it is important that we continue building this project with them. I am delighted that we managed to secure their futures early enough before pre-season begins, and I am looking forward to achieving even more success together with them and the rest of the team,” Mette said.
