The Tusker FC quartet of Ryan Ogam, Chris Erambo, Eric Naaman Balecho, and goalkeeper Brian Opondo have been called up to the national team for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Gambia and Gabon this month.
These call-ups are a testament to the hard work and dedication the players have shown on the field, and we are extremely proud to see them represent the nation at the highest level.
Ryan, a central figure in the Tusker forward line and Chris Erambo, our midfield powerhouse have been regular faces in the team.
However, the highlight of this call-up is the inclusion of goalkeeper Opondo, who will be making his debut for the national team. The keeper has been in brilliant form since being handed the starting berth with six clean sheets in eight matches.
Balecho, will also be returning to the national team, having been previously called up but never made the final squad.
Tusker FC Head Coach Charles Okere expressed his pride in the players, stating:
“We are incredibly proud of Ryan, Chris, Eric, and Brian for their well-deserved call-ups to the national team. Their commitment, hard work, and contributions to the club have been exceptional,” Okere said.
He added; “Brian’s first call-up is a momentous achievement for him, and we know he will make us proud. This is a testament to the quality of players we have at Tusker FC, and we look forward to supporting them as they take the next step in their international careers.”
