Tusker FC defender Boniface ‘Kajos’ Onyango says the team is pumped up for a strong finish in the FKF Premier League, and will give 100 percent effort to win the last five matches of the season.
The team plays City Stars on Wednesday afternoon at the Police Sacco Stadium and Onyango says they are well prepared for what will be a grueling task.
“We have trained very well this week and we are motivated by the results we have had in the last three matches. We know that we have to win to move to second place and we are ready as a team. It won’t be an easy game but we have to give our best,” Onyango says.
He adds; “City Stars are a really good team if you look at the results they have been posting so we know what awaits us.”
The team will face a tough week, with three matches lined up within seven days, but Onyango says the team is physically ready.
“In the past weeks we have trained all through the week and the coach had this in mind and was preparing us. We have no fitness doubts and we will be ready physically,” he says.
Onyango adds; “We want to finish the season very strongly. It hasn’t been an easy season especially looking at how we started but we have tried to fight back. We want to ensure we finish well and we are making a promise to our fans that we will do our best.”
Tusker beat City Stars 3-1 when we played in the first leg in Machakos, and will be looking to complete a double.
In the last 23 meetings, Tusker has won 11 and drawn seven, while the remaining six ended in City Stars’ favour.
