Defender Collins Odhiambo has urged his teammates to avoid complacency despite the team’s impressive resurgence over the past month.
Following a string of positive results, Odhiambo emphasized the need for continued hard work as the team pushes to finish the season strongly.
“We cannot afford to get comfortable or carried away. Yes, we’ve picked up three or four wins, but that doesn’t mean we should ease off. We have to keep working, keep fighting, and give our best in every game until the very last match of the season,” said the tough-tackling fullback.
Odhiambo added that the team remains firmly focused on ending the campaign with silverware, noting that recent changes have helped restore belief and unity within the squad.
“There is a renewed sense of happiness in the team and everything is coming together well. We lacked that before, but now the bond is back, and it’s showing on the pitch. That will be crucial as we aim to finish the league strongly and also compete for the FKF MozzartBet Cup, where we have a real chance. We cannot afford to go another season without a trophy,” he added.
The team returns to action on Friday evening with a clash against Police FC at Sacco Stadium. Odhiambo says the squad is eager to make amends for their 1-0 defeat in the first leg and bounce back from their recent loss to AFC Leopards.
“We’ve had two good weeks to prepare and address our mistakes. Everyone is ready, everyone is focused, and we are determined to get the win,” he noted.
Currently sitting ninth in the standings, a victory could see the Brewers climb as high as fifth.
