Captain Charles Momanyi says the match against APS Bomet at the Wang’uru Stadium on Sunday, the final of the 2025/26 SportPesa League, will be a good opportunity to boost the players’ confidence.
Tusker has fallen to back to back defeats, losing by a solitary goal away to Bandari and 2-0 to Ulinzi, losses that Momanyi says have dented the players’ confidence. However, he says, they have an opportunity to right the wrongs.
“It has been a very tough season for us, I think one of the lowest in Tusker’s history. It has affected us, especially losing the last two games when we felt we should have won. But this is a chance for us to boost our confidence with a win. It is the last game of the season and we have to finish off on a high,” the captain said.
He added;
“They (APS) are a good team and have shown so in their last few results. I know they have prepared well but so are we. We have our game plan prepared by the coaches and I believe it can lift us to victory.”
The team will play the duel against APS before going on a short break, and returning to prepare for the FKF Cup final on June 14 in Kwale.
