Pavelh Ndzila made his Tusker FC debut in Sunday evening’s 2-0 win over Kakamega Homeboyz AT THE Wang’uru Stadium in Mwea, and the Congolese goalkeeper couldn’t hide his delight.
Ndzila, a former Congo Brazzaville Under-20 international, said he was delighted to finally drape in the Tusker FC colors, and particularly get back onto a football pitch competitively for the first time in almost two months.
Ndzila joined Tusker in the mid-season transfer window from Rwandese giants Rayon Sports, and had to take time to raise his fitness levels after staying for slightly over a month without playing. His debut was further delayed after picking a slight ankle injury, but his moment finally came against Homeboyz.
He capped off his wonderful performance with a clean sheet.

“I am really happy to have finally played my first match for Tusker FC. I have been on the bench before and it is great to get to play in the Kenyan league. I enjoyed my debut more so because we kept a cleansheet and won with two goals,” the keeper said.
He added;
“I wasn’t nervous at all. I was just calm and played the game with confidence. Now I am excited, and I am looking forward to fight for another place in the next match and we keep a second consecutive cleansheet.”
Ndzila says the competition in the goalkeeping department in the team is tough, and this helps all of them remain on their feet.
