New signing Eric Balecho was on the scoresheet as Tusker FC beat Dandora Combined 3-0 in their first pre-season friendly match played at the Dandora Stadium early Wednesday morning.
Shaphan Oyugi and Fabian Adikiny scored the other two, in a game that was strewn with many missed scoring chances.
Balecho scored the opener with a fiery left footed shot from inside the box after Shaphan flicked a long throw from new boy George Kaddu. Shaphan would be involved in the second goal again, this time his shot from inside the box blocked and Adikiny firing home from the rebound.
The hard working forward would then cap off his impressive performance with a goal, when Jacob Onyango did well to intercept a backpass before laying it for Shaphan to slap home.
The second half had more chances with Onyango, John Njuguna and Joseph Mwangi all seeing the keeper block their chances from close range.
The team is in week three of pre-season training and will play another friendly match on Friday, before departing for Kampala, Uganda on Sunday.
The coaching team is using these friendly matches to improve team synergy, especially with the arrival of several new players.
