Tusker FC beat National Super League side Sam West BlackBoots 4-0 in their second pre-season friendly match played Friday.
David Odoyo, new boy Jacob Onyango, Joseph Mwangi and Dennis Oguta scored the goals for the healthy win.
Odoyo opened the scoring at the stroke of halftime when he sneaked in at the nearpost to glance a header off a John Njuguna corner, with two Blackboots defenders helping the ball in as they attempted to clear.
In the second half, with the coaching team making wholesome changes, the tempo increased. Njuguna once again provided an assist, this time sitting his marker down with some deft skill before lifting a cross into the area that was strongly headed home by Onyango.
Some good pressing saw Mwangi get his name on the scoresheet when he was quick to the keeper as he tried to clear the ball, blocking it into the net.
Oguta then wound off the scoring in sublime fashion, picking up the ball from 25 yards out before rifling a thunderous volley that hit the underside of the bar before bouncing into the net.
This was the second pre-season friendly in week three of training, the team having won 3-0 against Dandora Combined on Wednesday.
The team will have a recovery session on Saturday morning before embarking on a trip to Uganda, where there will be three further high profile friendly matches next week.
