Tusker FC midfielder John Njuguna says the team has taken an approach of one game at a time, as the season gets into the home stretch, with 12 rounds of matches left.
Tusker picked up their 11th win of the season on Sunday, beating KCB 2-0 at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos, with Njuguna putting up a man of the match performance, assisting the first goal for Chris Erambo and scoring the second with a brilliant worldie.
“As a team, this win is behind our backs. We are taking each match at a time and the target for us is to win all our remaining games. The focus now is on the next match and we see where that takes us,” Njuguna said.
On his second goal of the season, the midfielder notes; “It definitely spurs my confidence and motivation. I have been working to improve on my scoring and slowly the fruits are bearing. I am glad I got another goal and I want to keep working to get more.”
Njuguna has also praised the competition in the team, saying everyone works hard to get a starting role and this keeps ever player on toes. “When someone gets a chance we all get behind him and support him as we keep working to wait on ours,” notes Njuguna.
