The Tusker FC Youth team continued with its impressive run in the second half of their FKF Division Two League season, after a well worked 2-0 home win over Leads United at the Ruaraka Complex on Thursday evening.
Second half goals from Rayan Onyango and Dennis ‘OG’ Okoth gave the team the vital victory, their fourth in five games, which potentially moves them to third in the standings.
The boys controlled the game from start to finish and had several chances in the first half to score, but were unlucky infront of goal. Douglas Omanga had two close chances, first running through to a cross from the left but failed to connect.

He also had another opportunity when he cut in from the right, but his curling effort lacked the requisite power to trouble the keeper. David Polepole worked the keeper minutes later with a venomous left footed shot which he kept out.
In the second half, the team upped the tempoin search for a goal to show for their massive possession. Okoth almost had the ball in the net when he took on a shot from close range but it flew inches over.

In the 70th minute, the goal finally came. Onyango, who had earned a starting slot in place of injured skipper Dwight Shikanda broke the deadlock with a powerful header off a Dennis Chimano cross.
Leads, who had been sitting back most of the game suddenly opened up on the offensive, but the backline stood tall.
Okoth then sealed the victory in the 91st minute with his 11th goal of the season, a powerfull left footed shot from 30 yards out after dazzling past two of his markers.
