Striker Ibrahim Joshua says he is delighted after his performance in the 4-0 victory over Shabana FC in Homabay on Sunday. The forward was involved in two goals, his shot being deflected by George Onyango for the second goal, while he laid out the assist for Shaphan Siwa’s goal.
Joshua has been returning gradually to first team action after being out for close to a year and a half due to a knee injury.
“I really feel great and I thank God. This performance shows that patience pays and I want to thank my teammates for pushing me in every game. They always encourage me to keep working and that a goal will eventually come,”
He adds; “I have gone through a really tough period and I am thankful because now I am slowly getting better. Everything has its time and I am happy to have assisted two goals. It gives me motivation to keep doing better.”
The Tanzanian forward says he wants to keep working, and that the competition between himself, Deo Ojok and Eric Kapaito for a starting role will push him to be better.
“For us as a team I think anyone who is given a role to start will always give a good account. Whether it is Ojok, Kapaito or me who scores, it does not make a difference. It is Tusker which wins. Whoever is on top will always start and we are there to support each other,” adds Ibra.
