Erambo Named Tusker FC Player of the Month

Midfielder Chris Erambo has been awarded Tusker FC’s Player of the Month for the period spanning December 2024 to mid-February 2025, following his outstanding performances on the field.

Erambo emerged as the winner after a vote by his teammates and the technical bench. He was shortlisted alongside inaugural winner Ryan Wesley Ogam and midfielder Shaphan Siwa, who moved to Tanzania at the end of the year.

The final shortlist was carefully selected after consultations with the coaching and analysis teams. A vote was then held to determine the winner from the three candidates.

Erambo scored the solo goal in the 1-0 win over Ulinzi Stars and has been a machine in midfield in the subsequent matches.

“We didn’t select this shortlist lightly; we considered various factors, including performance data collected not only on match days but also during training sessions. The competition was incredibly close, with all three players almost tallying equally in statistics. However, a winner had to be chosen in the end,” said Assistant Coach George Maina.

In his congratulatory message to Erambo, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Sam Nzau also praised the team’s collective effort over the past two and a half months.

“When we started the season, we set clear targets and ambitions, and we’re still focused on achieving them. Right now, we’re joint-top of the standings, and the journey is far from over. Every player has given their all, and we see that reflected in each match. All of you should be proud of your contributions,” Nzau commented.

Keza Mpyisi, Brand Manager for Tusker Sports, representing the brand team, also congratulated the players on their efforts in helping the team climb to the top of the league.

“This achievement is a testament to teamwork—while one player stands out, it’s a collective effort that drives success. As a brand, we remain committed to supporting the team, and we’re all excited for the end of the season when we aim to achieve our goal of becoming champions,” Mpyisi concluded.
