Midfielder David ‘Daddy’ Odoyo has lauded the squad for the continued teamwork that has seen the boys rack in five wins in a row across all competitions.
The team picked up a 1-0 victory against AFC Leopards last weekend, before the international break, and Odoyo says this is a result of teamwork and togetherness.
“We are thankful for the victory we picked more specifically because we played according to how we planned and everyone gave a good effort. We wanted to get the three points and we really pushed and worked till the final whistle. We want to continue that way even in the next game,” Odoyo notes.
He adds; “It is a massive boost to win five games in a row and it shows the good spirit we have had. Everyone wants to put in an effort and try to achieve our targets of fighting for the league title.”
Meanwhile, he has lauded his partnership with Chris Erambo in midfield and says their friendship off the pitch has been a huge factor in improving their own performances individually.
“We usually encourage each other on the pitch and off the pitch. We push each other to improve in every game because we want to achieve good things at the end of the season and if any of us is named as young player of the season it would be a huge plus,” noted Odoyo.
With action taking a three week break before the round of 16 of the FKF Cup, Odoyo has urged his teammates not to let their guards down.
“We have to keep working during the break to ensure we don’t lose momentum. We have a good team and if we continue putting effort and working as a team like we have done till now, we will get good results,” he says.
